I stood to great people and talk to them and they truly seemed to enjoy that. I sat briefly to personalize each book sold, then stood again. Had a candy dish, poster, bookmarks with online purchase info for ebooks. It worked out very well.Peggy's Hope 4 Uhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14968499009748840868noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6798125729619863896.post-22169729544094298572015-06-01T04:48:45.401-07:002015-06-01T04:48:45.401-07:00I had a book signing some years ago at the local l...I had a book signing some years ago at the local library - it rained, so not many showed! But some chain stores also support local authors. I think it's a good idea to have a nice print out of your cover at least, if your book isn't published yet, and basically a print out with the blurb, genre and target audience group. Most are going to already have an answer prepared, either they are open to local writers or not. Or they might not have a slot available that month, etc. <br />Angela Castillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04739038803759868117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6798125729619863896.post-57161544536978656662015-05-31T19:04:53.095-07:002015-05-31T19:04:53.095-07:00This comment has been removed by the author.Angela Castillohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04739038803759868117noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6798125729619863896.post-21944935960894334992015-05-31T19:01:11.254-07:002015-05-31T19:01:11.254-07:00What's your pitch when you contact a bookselle...What's your pitch when you contact a bookseller?John Gotheborghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15091099085966660464noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6798125729619863896.post-14733135216915561082015-05-31T18:51:50.108-07:002015-05-31T18:51:50.108-07:00I always sell more book if I can offer a presentat...I always sell more book if I can offer a presentation, even a short one, and sending out personal invitations, if possible, helps "boost" the numbers, too.Katy Huth Joneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17070461471031851970noreply@blogger.com
